Article Sale Review – A Constant Content Alternative?

What is Articlesale.com? Is it legit? Can ArticleSale be an alternative to Constant Content?

articlesale.comWhat Is Article Sale?

Article Sale is a website where anyone can set up an account and post articles to be sold. There are no requirements to join, no application process, no editors, no fees, you set your own price, and Article Sale doesn’t even take a commission. (They have advertisements on their site to monetize it.) All you need to do is open up an account and you can start selling.

(ArticleSale is not on my recommended programs list. Read on to see why.)

Potential buyers can only view the beginning snippet of the article being sold to prevent article theft.

Although this may sound like a freelancer’s dream, it is not. Because there is absolutely no monitoring, there are many articles being sold that have very poor spelling and grammar, which are usually being sold by non-native English speakers, and most articles cost only a few dollars, between 50 cents to $5.

Also, some people copy large batches of articles off the web and attempt to sell them for dirt cheap. I know because I copied a preview snippet and googled it. (I found it on two websites, seems like he wasn’t the first plagiarizer…)

However, there are also articles that are being sold for slightly more than $5, and occasionally, there’ll be an article being sold for over 10 bucks.

Does Article Sale Pay?

It seems like they do (from reviews seen online).

Payments are made via PayPal, and that is also how buyers purchase articles.

So, Is Article Sale.com Worth It? Can It Really Be True?

Since articles sell for so low, I don’t see a point in writing articles just for selling them on Article Sale. However, if you have an article that was written for another client or content mill and rejected or an article that you wrote as a sample for a writer’s application, it certainly doesn’t hurt to post it on Article sale.com, because who knows? Maybe you will earn a few bucks.

      Hey TJ,

I’d recommend you check out Dot Writer. SEO Clerks also has a section where you can sell articles. You can also try Content Runner, though it works kind of differently. I would have recommended Swarm Content, but they’ve recently gone offline and I don’t know when they are going to come back.

      All the best,

      Ben

      Hi Garima,

If you are looking for websites where you can sell articles, try out Dot Writer, Swarm Content, Constant Content, and SEO Clerks. I hope to do reviews on them soon. If you are looking for other websites where you write articles for customers, take a look at my list of Content Mills. I do not recommend all of them, but you can try them out yourself if you wish.

      All the best,

      Ben

If you spent some time writing an article to be sold on Article Sale wouldn’t you want to be paid a reasonable amount for it? Also, if articles are being copied from other areas of the web and for sale on this site there would be the problem of plagiarism. This would be a big issue when it comes to your website and Google.

Yes, I agree with all you said. But it kind of looks like an abandoned site anyway that hardly has any visitors and probably no buyers.

I never heard of article sale but in my opinion it sounds like an opportunity for people to just copy others work – if what you say is true and you are finding duplicate content online. What is the point in making money this way? You might as well create some quality content yourself and if that is your hobby focus on publishing it on your own site and then monetizing your website authentically. The closest I would come to selling my article would be guest posting on a similar website to my own where I know I will increase traffic (with the owners permission) back to my own site.

Yeah, it’s just that some people who make a living through freelance writing are looking for an alternative to Constant Content, a website where articles sell for $30-60 and even more , but it’s hard to get accepted there. Usually, online writing sites are monitored, and all submissions are checked for plagiarism via copyscape. Article Sale seems to be an abandoned site that nobody really has the time to maintain.
