Is VIP Voice Legit and Safe? The VIP Voice Scam

is vip voice legitIs VIP Voice legit? Or will VIP Voice scam you out of your precious time?

VIP Voice — What It Is and What You Can Earn

VIP Voice is a company that will pay you to take surveys online. After signing up, you will be able to start taking surveys. Surveys are available from time to time and will be sent to you via email. You can also find surveys on your dashboard. Each time you take a survey, you will earn points.

And here’s where the problems start. You see, most survey companies let you exchange the points that you have earned for cash via Paypal or gift cards at stores such as Amazon, Target, and Macy’s. However, VIP Voice does not offer such options. (That’s why VIP Voice is not included in my recommended list of ways to make money online.)

Instead, you will be able to use your points in two ways: “SweepLand” and “BidLand.” Let’s go through these two options.

SweepLand lets you spend your points to enter sweepstakes and raffle drawings. Prizes such as vacations, cool gadgets, and cash prizes are raffled off. You can purchase an entry or multiple entries into these raffle drawings by spending your points. The good part about this is that you have a chance to win something expensive. But the bad part about it is that you probably won’t win anything, and you will have ended up taking all those surveys and spending those points on nothing.

vip voice scamBidLand lets you use your points to bid on auctions. Prizes such as electronics and gift cards are auctioned off, and whoever bids the highest wins. For example, if you bid 10,000 points on a prize and nobody bids higher than you, you will get the prize. The good part about this is that you if don’t bid the highest, you will get your points back. Another good thing is that you may end up winning something that is pretty valuable, and you can potentially get a lot more for your points than you would have from other survey companies. However, there is no guarantee that you will win the auction. You may also end up spending more points than you think is worth it for the prize in order to win.

Is VIP Voice Safe to Use?

VIP Voice is owned by The NPD Group. This company has an A+ rating with the BBB and is BBB accredited. So it is totally legit and trustworthy.

However, I do not like the fact that their site is not secured via SSL. A legit company, in my opinion, should have a secure site, especially if they are asking you for personal information like your date of birth and your home address. VIP Voice is not https, which concerns me, because the personal information I enter is not encrypted and is open for any hacker to see.

So, Is VIP Voice Legit? Can It Really Be True?

VIP Voice is definitely “legit.” As mentioned, they have an A+ rating with the BBB. However, their business model has its pros and cons.

VIP Voice’s business model does not appeal to me personally. With other survey sites, I can at least be certain that I will earn $5 or $10 or whatever they are offering as long as I earn a certain amount of points. With VIP Voice, however, I am not certain of anything. If I use my points for raffle entries, I will probably lose and the points would have been wasted. Only one person will win each auction as well, and it is a frustrating experience to have to spend all that time bidding on auctions and trying to win. You will have to keep refreshing your page and make sure that nobody is outbidding you at the last second.

Some people think that VIP Voice is a scam, because so many people spend their time taking surveys and never win anything.

On the other hand, some people may like VIP Voice, because if they do win an auction or raffle, they can end up getting something worth far more than the $5 or $10 they would have gotten at other survey sites.

What are your thoughts about VIP Voice and its business model? Do you think taking surveys for raffles and auctions is worth it? Weigh in the discussion below!

    Hi there,

I think Bidland sounds a bit better than Sweepland but it would be so much better if they offered cash redemption rather than these two options. At least with Bidland you get your points back.

Interesting that they don’t use SSL. I don’t think it’s a good idea sharing your personal data on an unsecured connection. However, are these survey companies trustworthy anyway? By that I mean do you think they share our email address with other companies for building lists?

I used Survey Savvy a couple of times but the cash payouts were pretty small to be honest.

      Hi Craig,

It is a cause for concern. Legitimate survey companies will never share your email address unless they say so in their terms and conditions. Survey companies that are not legit may indeed sell your info. I personally have a separate email account which I use to sign up for these things.

I agree also that Survey Savvy is not worth it — read what I have to say about it here.

      All the best,

      Ben

        Hi Ben,

I forgot about SavvyConnect! That made me very uneasy too so much so that I deleted it and moved onto another survey company. I still get emails from Survey Savvy, which is irritating. I should’ve used another email address like you!

          Hi Craig!

Yes, Survey Connect is what really made be dislike SurveySavvy. I also get emails from them!

Here’s what you should do: Either click the unsubscribe link in their emails, or just keep marking them as spam. If you keep marking them as spam, Gmail will hopefully eventually filter them out.

          All the best,

          Ben

      Hi Idris,

There are a few other ways, like competing in betting on football teams or something like that. Not anything worth your time.

      Best,

I think this is a site that fullfills some people’s wishes, they are looking more for entertainment than they are to make a living at it. I don’t think it is a scam because the people know going in what the odds are, it’s like scratching a lottery ticket. It’s not anything I would do again because I have done something similar and lost the money I spent, but it was fun. So for entertainment it’s great, to make a living doing this it’s a no way. Thanks Ellen

      Hi Ellen,

Yes, you are right. For people who have extra time on their hands and are looking for something to do, this is a good place to go. It’s good as long as they are not actually looking to make money.

      Best,

      Ben

Thanks for that information. Online surveys is a murky world. Knowing that I’m not going to get paid, just earn points is very good to know.

      Hi Linda,

Yes, so many people sign up thinking that they will earn cash like other survey sites. You gotta do your research before you sign up to anything 😀

      All the best,

      Ben
